Our estate-level Riesling grows in a number of different vineyards around the "Konzer Tälchen," all with slate soils but also varied expositions. It combines an enticing combination of juiciness, minerality and fruit with a gentle acidity and nimble lightness on the palate. A typical Saar Riesling, as elegant as Cinderella’s slipper.
The 2022 Saar Riesling Kabinett Feinherb opens with a clear, bright, lean and crunchy slate aroma intermingled with white fruit and herbal aromas. Light and playful on the graceful palate, this is another excellent, filigreed and oh-so-delicate Kabinett from this producer that delivers a wine type envied worldwide and which is at its best in the finest Saar Rieslings. The finish is pure, saline, highly stimulating but also lush and aromatic. This is a great aperitif that doesn't need summer to shine. Imagine yourself in a heated room and out of champagne. There is no better alternative than a light Kabinett like this. 10% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in October 2023.
