The result of an accurate selection of grapes from the vineyard Costa Grimaldi located at Terlo, in Barolo. A great wine of the Langa, garnet red with a shade of amber, of intense and embracing fragrance, full bodied but smooth tannic taste, with a long spiced final taste. With time it acquires complexity as the ethereal aromas of spices, truffles and leather. The tannic characteristics guarantee a long life in bottle. The annual production is limited at few thousand bottles.
A slightly austere red, with a core of pure cherry buried within a dense texture and a tannic structure. Though tightly wound, this shows concentrated fruit, along with iron, tobacco, tar and eucalyptus flavors. Best from 2027 through 2049. 553 cases made.
Fresh and clean with roses, citrus and orange peel. Medium body, firm and silky tannins and a chewy finish. Needs time to soften. Better after 2026.
