Very dark crimson to the rim of the glass. Explosive nose of baking spices, rising sourdough, honey, plum flower, and ripe plum fruit. Viscous and creamy on the palate, with notes of red currant and fresh herbs. The beautiful structure has full-bodied, fine-grained tannins and a long, luscious, and intense finish.

Aromas of blackcurrants and dark cherries, together with walnuts, licorice and dried rose petals. It’s full and structured, with fine-grained tannins that are firm and slightly chewy. Juicy and mellow fruit hiding underneath. Creamy finish. Better after 2025.

With a generous nose bursting with mocha, blackberry essence and dusty boysenberry, the 2020 Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon offers an enticing aroma of black cherries in syrup. Vibrant notes of crème de violette and bitter dark chocolate further enhance its freshness and voluptuousness. Full-bodied and concentrated, the wine boasts a weighted mouthfeel with power and precision, complemented by firm gripping tannins and succulent acidity. Its broad-shouldered and generous profile evolves gracefully, leading to a long, spicy finish that has me craving flame-kissed chops and steaks from the grill. The wine spent 22 months in new and once-filled French oak and neutral botti. 35,664 bottles were produced.

This is tightly structured yet remains refined and expressive, with currant and plum flavors that are accented with espresso and dusty herbs, building tension toward broad-shouldered tannins. Hands off for now. Best from 2025 through 2034. 2,972 cases made.
