Great finesse on the nose, wich releases a mixture of red fruit, fig and soft spicy note. On the palate, the wine shows great elegance and a lovely weave of red fruit and very fine tannins.

A perfumed nose with mixed berries, dark cherries, dried herbs, dried leaves and baking spices. Medium to full body with creamy tannins. Quite rich with plenty of fruit in the center and a round and generous finish. Drink now.

Lavau purchases fruit from several small parcels (typically less than a hectare) around the village, with aging largely (80%) in oak barrels but no new oak. Raspberries and mulberries join pleasant spice shadings and touches of garrigue on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is silky yet nicely structured. The overall impression of the 2020 Vacqueyras is fairly elegant, smoothed out and polished by oak aging.
