Wonderfully perfumed with violets and essence of raspberries that follow through to a medium to full body with totally integrated tannins that are tight and poised. You almost can’t “see” the tannins, but you feel them.
Ripe and sleek, featuring a lovely display of cassis and raspberry pâte de fruit inlaid with red licorice, red tea and alder notes. The long, refined finish has an alluring hint of wood smoke. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2034.
Unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark berries, orange rind and rich spices, framed by a deft application of cedary new oak, the 2019 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion is medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with lively acids and a more tightly wound profile than its counterpart across the street.
