Carricante, native variety espalier-grown over 6 hectares of vines at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level. Area of production: Milo, Praino contrada south side and Castiglione di Sicilia in the Verzella contrada, where the freshness of the land allows full ripening of the Carricante without altering its aromas.
Notes of ripe apples and pears with spices, chamomile and a stony minerality to it. Medium-bodied, sleek and polished with juicy acidity and delicious fruit. Layered and characterful. Drink now or hold.
Lip-smacking acidity is counterbalanced nicely by the creamy texture of this lively white, with aromatic accents of dried mint and grapefruit peel to the flavors of apricot, chopped almond and poached pear. Salty finish. Drink now through 2029. 2,500 cases imported.
