The 2022 Barbera d'Alba Vignota is a lovely expression with elegant fruit, dried blueberry, blackcurrant and a dusty mineral note that frames it all with neat and delineated lines. It displays medium fruit weight and a high 15% alcohol content that is absorbed by the wine's thick texture. That said, this is by no means a heavy wine. Production is 35,000 bottles.
This rich Barbera is saturated with black cherry, blackberry and plum fruit, showing the slightest hint of toasty oak as it extends on the finish. Well-integrated and long. Drink now through 2028. 2,500 cases made, 500 cases imported.
