Right out of the gate, the nose opens up with notes of berry compote, toasted caramel sugar, and a touch of cinnamon and clove. The nose delightfully comes off a bit softer than expected considering this has a high abv than their flagship Bourbon. The mouthfeel is medium to rich. Hints of peanut brittle, fig, and a bit of cola at the front of the palate transition beautifully into a rich currant, sweet tobacco note on the long and lingering finish.
