Bright intense cherry color. The nose presents herbal and spicy aromas, dominated by ripe cherries, laurel and graphite together with black pepper and coffee beans. On the palate this is medium bodied and filling with good texture and soft, round tannins added to a long finish. Try with pork ribs, baked vegetables au gratin, lamb and pastas.
A splash of cocoa powder to the rich cassis, sun-dried tomatoes, iron and tobacco leaf. Flavorful and dense on the full-bodied palate with plenty of juicy dark fruit that cuts through the firm, chewy tannins. Long and spicy finish with a hint of cream. Drink or hold.
